Soil Hydrometer A

Seamless, symmetrical stem and bulb do not vary in diameter. One-piece ballast is secured to lower part of the body. Guaranteed calibration accuracy eliminates errors due to variable dilution. Calibrated for use at 68°F (20°C). Graduated in grams of soil per liter from -5 to 60g in 1° divisions. Has ASTM/AASHTO scale 152 H. Total length: 11" (280mm). Meets ASTM D422; AASHTO T88.

Soil Hydrometer B

Same as H-4241 except with graduations 0.995 to 1.038 specific gravity by 0.001° divisions. Has ASTM/AASHTO scale 151 H.

Graduated glass cylinder used in determining amount of soil in dispersed suspensions contains 1000ml at 20°C (68°F). Open end is fire-polished without pour out. Dimensions: 18" (457mm) x 2-1/2" OD (64mm). Base is 4-1/3" (107mm)

Hydrometer Jar Bath

Designed to maintain a constant temperature of 20°C ±0.2°C (68°F) for particle size distribution test in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO specifications. Up to eight hydrometer jars can be stored in the bath at the same time. The bath features a stainless steel interior and shelf for corrosion resistance and long service life. The automatic high temperature safety cut-off circuit incorporated into the design prevents damage to the heater and pump system. Inside dimensions are 37-3/4" x 7-3/4" x 16-1/2" deep (959 x 197 x 419mm). The overall outside dimensions are 40" x 10" x 23" high (1,016 x 254 x 584mm). Hydrometer Jar Bath (220-240V
